I bet that title sounds confusing to you. It’s okay; you’ll get it in a while. Let me start this off with a simple example situation. Suppose you’ve got 10 different playing cards lying on your table, face down, and you are asked to pick the “Queen of Spades” out of them. You’ve got only three attempts to get it right, how good can your guess be? I know it’s pretty hard. In case you actually, somehow pick out the right one in the first go, it simply means that, your guess matched your immediate belief that the card was indeed in those ten.
However, what if you hadn’t got it right even after exhausting all your three chances? The first thought to hit your mind would be that the card must have been there among the rest of the seven. You would still hold the same belief that the card is in there somewhere, even if the guess proved to be wrong. Now, what if I told you the “Queen of Spades”, which you were trying to find, wasn’t there in the first place? What I’m trying to prove here is, our thoughts and beliefs are limited by our restricted amounts of knowledge.
Life is nothing but a series of co-incidences seamlessly crafted out for us. Still, we try to make things go our way, forgetting the fact that there are better options waiting for us. We make decisions and see things through a very blurry, limited vision. We try too hard, in a direction we are not even sure about, blocking our beliefs and narrowing them down.
Why is it that, even after mapping out elaborate plans, most of the things just happen out of nowhere and occur in a way never imagined before? It’s because there are many unknown ways, better destinations, waiting for us, only if we recognize them.
For example, imagine there’s this room filled with gold, diamonds, etc, and you actually discover the door leading to it, minus the key. Since you know what lies behind that door, the next obvious thing you’d want to do is search for the key. But wait, what if there’s another way into this room, which is open yet hidden? Would you still work hard to unlock the door if you came to know about this secret entrance? I doubt.
Similarly, in life, there are many hidden paths that lead to your goal, apart from the ones you know about. Uncovering these unknown entrances isn’t hard; in fact it’s easier than you think. You just need to let go of your limiting, controlling beliefs and apply what I call, the rule of “I don’t know how, I don’t know why”.
Whatever you want to happen, whatever goal you wish to achieve, just say this to yourself very firmly, “I don’t know how, I don’t know why, but I will have/do/get/achieve _______” - That’s it. Just say this statement without any doubts, questions or thoughts. Once you say it with utmost belief, let it go and forget about it. Don’t think about how it’s gonna happen or what exactly will lead you to it. It’s not your job. Just keep working the way you have been. By doing this exercise, you subconsciously remove any mental setbacks or blocks you have, which opens up many more unique ways to reach your dream. Believe me, this isn’t magic, but it works like a charm! :)

“I don’t know how, I don’t know why,but u write the best!! I do not need to tell you that and no one does, but as always, we should appreciate good work!
First of all, when i started reading this post, i was like Oh My God!! thats really confusing, but later re reading the lines two a times, i did get to understand what you wanted to explain or rather make us to learn :P !
To not boast, but for real i had this philosophy in life for always, since before.. that i do not know what to do, and i dont even know why i m going to do that but surely i do the work wich i want to do or love to do..
But i should say a point over here, u described about the paths we take across in Life to acheive our goals.. but as u said many of us take the narrowing paths though they can achive bigger in proportion, but it is LIFE, so some decisions about our dreams have to be altered as the way life wants it to happen. This plays a major factor in deciding the right path to achieve our goals in life.. !!
Being Happy is the ultimate want in life, thus more than the destination. its the path that matters the most!! :)

“..In case you actually, somehow pick out the right one in the first guess, it simply means that, your guess matched your belief.” .. i wud jst call that a lucky guess..not a belief..it wud have been a random guess at any point..coz i wouldnt know where the Queens of Spades was.
and i agree..if u believe in urself..then u will/can achieve whatever goals u have.even if in the end ..whatever is gonna happen is gonna happen.some people cant think outside the box tho..so not thinkin abt it..or without the known limitations..or control, can be tough..i have seen those people wrry and fret abt things when all u can do is jst believe.but in the end..it comes down to what u believe in..and how u play it out in the end =)
great writing =)

@ Monezee - I agree when you say it would be a random guess and not a belief, since you don’t know where the Queens of Spades was. However, the context in which I am talking about it here is different.
Even though your guess is very random and you aren’t sure about it, you still believe the card is somewhere in those ten. That’s the belief I was referring to, not the conviction about the guess being true, but the mental acceptance of what you’ve been told.

true..i got that..but it depends on the person too i think..they may already think there is no Queen of Spades in those 10 cards.but still goes along with pickin 3 cards out.i know i wud think that..if after 2 cards i still hadnt gotten it.i might wonder if there is a Queen of Spades in those 10 cards at all.regardless of what i have been told..i wud still wonder.if that makes sense..

You’re right, it would totally depend on the person. However, this was only an hypothetical example about how we tend to experience things bounded by what ‘we’ believe. Again, beliefs are something very personal, so they differ from person to person, and that’s the reason you don’t see everyone successful.
I was trying to explain it the way ‘most’ of the people would perceive such a situation. What you said was an exception. If that’s the case, then you’re different, and you don’t think like the others, it’s what makes you unique. And that’s the exact purpose of this blog, to help you see things differently and think out of the box :)

I don’t know how and I don’t know why but that actually seems like magic. If u’ve got the belief, the things will work out and wud be like a miracle… always! ;)
And yes, I agree with both of you right there!! Monezee made a strong point about ‘most’ of the people as well. Ooo u totally make sense! Yes, Mustafa said that right :D
Well, you do complete justice to the words! ;)
