I have always been fascinated by ideas. For me, they form the elixir of life. Ideas aren’t just random thoughts, they have a purpose, to help you get where you want. Some might argue saying that not everyone has the privilege of creating breakthrough, earth-shattering ideas. Uh, not really, first of all, an idea in itself isn’t perfect when it’s born. Secondly, what eventually makes you great is not the idea, but rather your ability to skillfully execute it.
“An idea without action is like an army without weapons.” How true is that? We all got dreams in life, dreams that eventually turn into ideas, ideas that are imperfect, yet, give us a wavy road map towards the reality. Hold on to them for long enough, and they start getting concrete, showing you the way to your goal, almost like a wiper pushing off the water from a windscreen.
A time comes, when an idea gets so polished, that it’s nothing but sheer brilliance, blinding you with its potential. I know what you’re thinking, if it’s that simple, then how come so few of us actually get to experience our ideas real-time? That, my friend, is because they’ve got zero value, and aren’t worth a red cent unless you breath life into them with action.
This brings us to the crux of any successful idea - execution. It all boils down to how you execute what’s on your mind to make it a physical reality. An idea is like your thumb and its execution your thumbprint. Think about it for a moment, even though your thumb looks like everyone else’s, your thumbprint is different, it’s your identity. Similarly, ten different people might have the same idea but the way they execute it will be unique to them. This is where you play the game your way, and prove your mettle. The amount of effort you put into your actions will equal to how big your win is.
This law applies to all areas of your life, in almost every situation. Every day being an unknown challenge and with a real jungle out there - you either prey or get preyed upon. So, to make sure you leave a mark and build your own persona, you gotta make flawless execution a second nature.
Want to throw a surprise party for your best friend? or do the interiors of your house yourself? or save the world from evil space aliens? Whatever ideas you have, never mind how crazy they may seem, do it differently. Exceed your own expectations, take every opportunity as a chance to leave a deeper imprint and execute like never before. It doesn’t really matter how you flip the coin, cuz eventually, both the sides are important.

The Best part : Think about it for a moment, even though your thumb looks like everyone else’s, your thumbprint is different, it’s your identity.
I had to read it twice to understand it completely. :)

I agree to every word of ur blog.. but, could you answer me to a question?
Even after the execution of an idea, if it doesn’t work out so what should be the next step?
I feel more than the execution of an idea or bringing up ideas..its the intensity (or) madness of the desire for acheiving somthing which takes you far in life..!!
I completely liked what you wrote!! :)

Execution is the growth on the basis of the idea… and yes, the examples you gave are immensely such amazing that give us the total idea of what you’d really want to say! I do agree with single alphabet in there ;)
The strongest one is.. that everyone does get an idea or ideas but the important thing is its execution which makes the difference. As each individual is different from each other, and so does this, in their own unique way ;-) And thats what they all gotta build upon!!! :-D!
OH heyy, Aquamarine, well in my opinion.. there’s just not one idea or one way to things or perhaps just ONE single way for execution.. try MORE, think MORE! things will def work out! Well, yes.. next is for Mustafa to answer what he thinks on your quest! ;)
Thank you… for enlightening over THIS matter which def makes a huge difference in our own lives..
have a great day! :)

The Missing link - Motivation:
You know what?
I went through your fascinating post twice, and I was able to relate an idea with the importance of effective execution, but what I found missing is the link of motivation, which plays a vital role in making those random, glimpse of thoughts get executed. Tons of these random ideas disappear in vain as we do not get motivated to work on them.
Idea - the most significant trait of human beings.
Effective Execution - the most significant requirement to give idea, not just life but a healthy life.
Now, how do you think one who gets random, yet great ideas, can make himself execute these ideas effectively, and make them a reality?
Here comes the missing link - “Mr. Motivation” in the picture. I mean, we need real motivation to keep the the coin(consisting of ideas & execution) rolling until it gets you what you want, else the ideas/initial stages of execution would go in vain.
I understand that this topic is primarily meant to emphasize on importance of ideas and their execution, but I somehow could not digest execution without the term “motivation.” And of course, effective execution also need a pen and a paper. ;)
By the way, I’m totally fascinated by your written skills. :D

Heyy Hi!
I was told bout this site by Nida, so i thought to glance over it once.. But, fortunately if you say, i got stuck rite heree. I am soo totally speechless. Your style and the thoughts awe-d me, for sure! I really liked a few parts of this post which are already mentioned by someone up there as well. Your writing skills are just amazing and pretty much fascinating! :)
Thanks for helping us being aware of what we are not or most probably that we’re ignoring.. thank you! :) Keep more coming, and a HUGE GOOD LUCK to you!! :D

Zohaib you are definitely touching on some important topics in this site. Apart from motivation another important thing which one needs to have is the ability to identify which idea(s) needs our limited execution time/energy plus motivation. Everyone gets many different ideas but all the ideas cannot be worked upon. So we need to have the ability plus an innate judgement to execute/try to execute only those idea(s) which we are in a position to execute and motivate ourselves to go ahead and try.
Nevertheless, thanks for again pricking us to think about aspects of our life we normally do not concentrate enough on.
Already looking forward to another mind-tickling (or will it be rib-tickling) idea from Dr. Zohaib.

@ Aquamarine - If the idea doesn’t work out, it either means it wasn’t worth it in the first place or you lacked in your execution. Therefore, the next viable step would be to learn from this failed attempt of yours, and analyze what went wrong. If you put in the right effort to actually see why it didn’t work, you’ll most definitely get an answer. In case the idea itself wasn’t right, then chuck it and move on to a better one. However, if you feel the idea was good enough and you didn’t execute it well, then re-work on the whole thing and concentrate on the parts you overlooked. And yes, the intensity you talk about is innate part of execution itself, without it’s hard to execute brilliantly.
@ Naimath - I agree with you on the motivation part, but again, that’s something which is on a more personal level. Your zeal, drive, passion, perseverance, all of it is an internal thing which runs in you, in your blood. However, the execution of an idea is something which deals with the external aspects of putting things together. It’s about making the right decisions, meeting the right people, and balancing the details. In short, doing the right thing at the right time. No doubt, a person’s motivation ignites the fire to go ahead towards their goal, but the skill to execute only comes through clear, sharp thinking.
@ Jawad Bhai - Agree with you on that, you can’t go with every idea you have, it’s important to choose the right one. But, how do you know if an idea will work or not unless you put it into action? The only way to choose the right idea is to go for one you are really passionate about, instead of working on something which just “sounds good†:)

Hehe!
I guess, you and I are absolutely correct about two different parts of implementation of an idea. You were referring to execution of an idea consisting of planning and sharp thinking, whereas I was referring to execution of an idea by self-motivation that makes you intesify your thinking/planning. But when I said “execution also needs a pen and a paper in my previous post,” I was referring to that planning and research part, it’s just that I did not elaborate it.
